Posterolateral Lumbar Fusion

One of many various procedures in which spinal fusion can be achieved; Posterolateral Lumbar Fusion is considered a premiere method. This is a posterior surgery which includes a bone graft which is positioned in a vascular area resting on muscle in order to facilitate bone growth. This spinal fusion procedure solidifies two separate vertebrae in order to reduce movement that can cause nerve irritation and possible damage.
