Cervical Corpectomy

Cervical Corpectomy is a type of spine surgery preformed on spinal stenosis patients. Spinal stenosis is a type of spinal problem that creates bone spurs that protrude from the spine and cause irritation and pressure on the surrounding spinal column. When the spurs are large enough to disrupt several vertabraa, a Cervical Corpectomy is often prescribed. In a Cervical Corpectomy the front piece of the spinal column is removed and replaced with bone grafts. Surgery is preformed through the front of the neck.
